I am a Sports Photographer living in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. I am originally from Petal, Mississippi, where I graduated from high school in 1981. I went to college at the University of Southern Mississippi and received a BS degree in Architectural Engineering Technology in 1986. I have had an interest in photography since the age of 12, but while at Southern Miss, I took a course in photojournalism, which really sparked a passion for photography in me. I started photographing sports, mainly motorsports, when I was 17. It was quite some time before I could afford the equipment to get really serious about sports photography.
Today, I use Canon Digital Photo equipment. I enjoy shooting High School and College Sports Action, Air Shows, Racing and Sport portraits. I have been published in several publications and currently shoot game action for the University of South Alabama (Media Relations Department). I freelance for University of Southern Mississippi sports through (Mississippi Sports Magazine, Pevey Publishing). I have done work for:
and have been fortunate enough to photograph two AT&T Cotton Bowl Classics, 2009 & 2010, two R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl games, 2008 & 2009, the 2010 GMAC Bowl, the Progressive Insurance Gator Bowl in 2011 and several UnderArmour Senior Bowl games, two Conference USA Baseball Championships and recently, NCAA Regional Baseball in Atlanta, GA.
I am very thankful for the talent, equipment and abilities that the Lord has entrusted me with and I believe that if I use them for his glory, he will multiply them!
